Zil Zal

Today noon, while I was still kneeling down in prayer, the earth under me suddenly started moving and the whole building was shaking from side to side...Sounds of things shaking and falling , followed by sounds of screams and people running and shouting.. someone calling me to get out of the house immediately.. I was startled, not knowing what to do... turn off the oven, close the door, don't forget the keys, blablabla.. I jumped up, rushed outside, something hard fell down hitting me in the head.. I screamed, Mamma screamed too thinking that something bad happened to me.. I'm barefoot, where are my slippers, couldn't find them, I put on anything that came into my hand and ran downstairs.

The whole neighborhood was in the street, shocked and worried. Everyone then directed his attention towards me, are you OK? Don't panic, calm down, you look pale, what's wrong with your head? Get her some water... I wasn't really worried about me, I was extremely, entirely, utterly worried that something wrong would happen to my baby (God forbids). They all were worried about the same thing too, ma byeswa ten2azi hek. But what can I do, na2azit, and it was against my will. My head was hurting so bad, there was no blood, but something was swelling in my forehead like a small baloon. I had no idea what exactly hit me.

When I returned back home I found out that it was a metallic box I put on my closet that contains some old accessories. All the accessories were scattered all around the room. No biggie.. thank God nothing worse than that happened.

But I'm curious, when there's an earthquake, do you have time to turn off the oven and close the door? I always thought it's only RUN SIMBA RUN!
